                Greensomes competition at Heythrop Park GC on 30^th October 2014

           This new venue is a good 9000 yards walk with some treks through woods and by lakes and ponds to reach the next tee. The course is a great layout and test of golf and stamina, especially as the underfoot conditions were a bit muddy and heavy, but to be expected at this time of year.  (We are spoilt at Broadway with its great drainage)

           Unfortunately the general facilities and food did leave some room for improvement this however did not detract from a very enjoyable competition in good weather for the 11 pairs.

          The winners on the day were Maggie & Warren on a very creditable score of 37 points, on count back from Brian Lawrence & Steve Jordan with Chairman Phil and Mick Lewis in third place on 33 points.

           Nearest the pin on 6^th hole was won by Tom Barnes, with Brian & Steve also winning the nearest to the pin in 2 shots on the 13^th hole.

           A nice course but probably not one we will rush back to play again.

          The entry list is at The Bell Inn and payments are to be made at The Bell Inn in cash or  cheque. We do need to confirm numbers so it would be very helpful if members register soon as possible.

 Any member wanting a buggy should book these directly with the Warwickshire GC.          

 

           Annual General Meeting at The Bell Inn on 19^th January 2015 at 8.00pm prompt.

           This is your society so hopefully as many as possible of the members will be able to attend.

If any member wishes to raise a specific subject, would they please advise Chairman Phil

 at least 7 days prior to the AGM to allow time for research if necessary.

Certain committee members have indicated that they wish to stand down and therefore we

are seeking names of members who would stand for the 2015 committee. If you wish to

 stand please let  Phil know as soon as possible.
