                 Outing to Bromsgrove Golf Centre on 27^th February 2015

Our annual match with The Coach & Horses for the Neale Wolder Memorial Cup was held at Bromsgrove GC. 14 players from The Bell together with 9 players from The Coach & Horses were treated to a beautiful sunny late winter day. The previous night's heavy frost resulted in play being off mats to winter greens. The course is a real gem and much enjoyed by all players.

 Over morning coffee and bacon butties our Chairman Phil presented the Chairmans Cap to 'Basher' Brian Lawrence who managed to put his putter where no golfer had done before on Broadway GC!!

The relatively shorter course and large holes on the winter greens resulted in some excellent scores but none better than the 41 points recorded by Bernie Beale who won not only The Neale Wolder Cup but also the Bell Inn Founders Cup. In second place was Nick Everall from the C & H on count back from our Brian Lawrence both recording 40 points. In fourth place was Bill Payne with 39 points on count back from Chairman Phil.

Nearest the pin in two shots on the 6^th hole was won by Warren McDivitt, with Brian Lawrence winning the nearest the pin on the 11^th hole. A pretty near clean sweep for The Bell Inn GS. Well done to all competitors.

After an excellent meal at Bromsgrove the evening concluded with apres golf at The Bell Inn.

Broadway GC 8th April 2015

Outing to Bromsgrove Golf Centre on 27^th February 2015

A full report on our outing with The Coach & Horses was sent to members on 2^nd March, and the committee were unanimous in putting this venue high on our 'return to' list especially if we play it in conditions to allow full greens and tees to be used.

 

Details for our next outing to Broadway GC on Wednesday 8^th April 2015

 

Format - 18 holes individual Stableford

Register at 1.00pm with 1^st tee time at 1.30pm -Member to make their own lunch arrangements.

Cost £25 per head (members who played at Bromsgrove to pay £20 as discount was given by Bromsgrove due to winter greens- (Pat Twigger excluded) Final payment date 3^rd April but we do need to give numbers to BGC by 27^th March so please ensure you enter by this date at The Bell or at least advise Chairman Phil that you are attending.

Dress code for dinner - Jackets and Bell Inn GS ties.

There are still members who have not yet paid these although the latest requested date is well past. Please ensure that payments are made immediately at The Bell Inn.
