Information Update 21st April 2015

Below is an Information Update following the meeting of the Committee on Monday 20th April.

Please pay particular attention to the Important Notice included.

          The entry list is at The Bell Inn and payments are to be made at The Bell Inn in cash or

          cheque. We do need to confirm numbers. Latest date for confirmation of attendance Thursday 7th May 2015.

                                                             IMPORTANT NOTICE

When the Bell Inn changed hands late last year members were advised that the entry forms and payments (by cash or cheque) for normal future golf day competitions were to be made at the Bell Inn as Lou was happily agreeable to keep the entry sheets and deal with payments.

Sadly this procedure has not been fully working and there have been cases of payments being made to members of the committee for forwarding. This leads to much confusion over who is attending golf days and who has paid, as there is no central register of these attendances and payments. It also puts unnecessary and unfair additional pressure on members of the committee.

In future, to avoid this confusion, it is essential that members wishing to attend the normal golf days must register in the master folder at the Bell, make payment to Lou and obtain a receipt.

Also, as we have to advise visiting clubs in advance of our outings of the numbers attending, it is essential that booking and payment for the golf day is made no later than the date notified in Russ's Newsletter.

The Committee has therefore regrettably decided, with immediate effect, if attendance is not registered formally through the Bell Inn and full payment not made by the deadline date it will not be possible for members to attend the golf day. Committee members will no longer be able to accept instructions or payments for golf days.

The only exception to this rule will be the 2- day outings to St Pierre and  Annual Day location where pre-deposits are normally paid. These will continue to be made in cash to Warren.  

We trust members will understand the necessity for  the above and co-operate fully.

 

Outing to St. Pierre Sunday 28th /Monday 29th June 2015.

Members wishing to attend the 2-day outing to St.Pierre GC  please notify Warren with cash deposit of £20 no later than 13th May. The hotel rate is £109 for DB&B and 2 rounds of golf.

 

Breadsall Priory Reminder

Members wishing to attend the 2-day outing to Breadsall Priory on Sunday 20th/Monday 21st  September (including Annual day competitions) please notify Warren with £25 cash reservation deposit no later than  13th May.  The hotel rate is £99 for DB&B and 2 rounds of golf.
