21 members enjoyed the challenge of this Cheltenham course, a new venue for many players.
The weather was good if a little breezy and the course in good condition albeit that the last 6 holes tested the leg muscles and lungs !!
The overall winner was in form Duncan Beale on an excellent score of 40 points, William Jelfs was runner up on 36 points with David McAteer in third place on 35 points on a count back from Warren McDivitt.The nearest the pin in 2 shots on the 6th hole was won by Warren and after the chairman sorted out the difference between the time and the distance the winner of the nearest the pin on the 11th hole was Roger Yeates.
A fish and chips supper was enjoyed at LBGC before retiring to The Clubhouse for après golf where Neville was a “swindle” winner thanks to the accurate dart throwing of Beth !!! Russ & Duncan and Steve Jordan also benefited.
The average score on the day was 30.8 points.
Our next outing is the annual Greensomes on Thursday 16th June at The Worcestershire. Enter in pairs – if you need a partner call Warren as soon as possible. Full details of the day will follow shortly.
